About Trip

This is a 24 day trip from Lhasa to Everest Base camp and to the mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar. This tour involves loads of trekking so one who is interested in this tour should be physically fit. People who are bored with the concrete forest will be totally refreshed and this will be one of the best vacations youve ever had.

During this trek, you will be very close to nature and will have chance to explore things on your own. As Ive already said you need to physically fit and mentally prepared for this trip. You will be experience what you normally watch on Discovery channel or National Geographic. Place like Lhasa and Xigatse will teach how old monuments can be preserved. These are the things you will be doing in the 24 days tour of Lhasa-EBC-Kailash-Guge Trek.



Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01:On the first day you will fly over the tallest mountains in the world to get in to Lhasa from Kathmandu. This flight will not only take you to Lhasa but also offers you a stunning view of the mountains

Day 02-03:Lhasa deserves at least 2 days of your time and we will pay 2 days to Lhasa. During these two days we will visit Potala Palace, Norbulinka palace, Ramuche Temple, Jokhang Temple, Bharkhor Market, Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery. Please don’t forget t

Day 04:The fourth day of the trip passes on as we drive from Lhasa to Gyantse city and call it a day to rest in the hotel there.

Day 05:This day we will drive to Xigatse from Gyantse which will take approximately 2 hours. In Xigatse we will go for sightseeing trip to Tashilhunpo Monastery. This monastery spread in 300,000 sq m will occupy us for the rest of the day.

Day 06:Today we will drive to the Shakya monastery. Here we will come to know that magic can be carved in to Stones. Thanks to Tibetan people and its government for preserving this timeless beauty for us and the future generations. We call it a day off after the

Day 07:This is the preparation day for the trekking. We will drive from the Sakya Monastery to Old Tingri. Here you will be instructed for the trek and you’ll get time to put yourself together for the trek.

Day 08:This is the first day of the trek and we will trek from Old Tingri to Tsojan Village today.

Day 09:On the ninth day of the tour we will trek from Tsojan to foot of the Namla Pass.

Day 10:Today we will climb up to the beautiful village of Namla Passto Zemukh, observing beautiful mountain ranges, flora and fauna that are native to Tibet.

Day 11:Today we will trek from Namla Passto Zemukh village to Rrongbuk. Rongbuk has the Rongbuk monastery which is actually a monastery located at the highest altitude in the world. 4 Km away from the Everest Base Camp we can watch a mesmerizing over Everest sun

Day 12:Today we will hike from Rongbuk to the Everest Base Camp. It’s about 8km up and down trek. We will call it a day in Rongbuk today.

Day 13:Today we will drive to a typical Chinese and Tibetan town Saga and rest there for the day and night. Saga is getaway Western part of Tibet including Mt. Kailash.

Day 14:On this day we will drive to Lake Manasarovar, this is long and tiring drive so travelers are suggested to be prepared for that. In the evening we will check in to the Guest house it Manasarovar.

Day 15:Today we will drive to Tarchen. This is again a preparation spot. We will be spending a night here and get ready for the Kailash trek.

Day 16:Today we will drive a bit further and our first day of Kailash trek starts. We will hike about 15 Km which will take approximately 7 hours. We camp in the late afternoon and call it a day.

Day 17:This is the hardest part of this trek but nonetheless the holiest too. We will trek from our camping zone to Zultul Puk and again camp there to spend the night.

Day 18:Today we will trek back to Tarchen and drive to Tirthapuri. We will spend the night here in Tirthapuri Guesthouses. This is the last day of our trekking.

Day 19:Today we will drive from Tirthapuri to Tolhing. Here in Tolhing we will have an opportunity to explore the Tolhing Monastery. After the monastery visit we will call it a day.

Day 20:Today we will drive to the most ancient Kingdom of Tibet- Kingdom of Guge. We will explore the Guge kingdom for the rest of day and call it a day here.

Day 21:Today we will drive from the Guge kingdom to Darchen Town to spend a night in a guest house in Darchen.

Day 22:Today we will drive from Darchen to Town of Saga. We will explore the town and check in to the Guest house to call it a day.

Day 23:The twenty-third day of the tour is for driving from the town of Saga to Nyalam city at the very height of Tibet. We will call it a day in Nyalam and rest at the Nyalam guest house.

Day 24:This is the very last day of our tour. Today we will drive from Nyalam down to Zhangmu through the steep and winding roads and then on to Kathmandu through the lush greenery of Nepalese countryside.
