Day 02:Thimpu-Taktsang-Paro

Detail Itinerary

Day 01Kathmandu – Paro (1 hour Flight) & Drive to Thimpu (54km-2hours) Flight to Paro From Kathmandu where the Himalaya Mountains offering spectacular views of the awesome peaks. The beautiful airport is the first glimpse of what's ahead. A short drive along the valley brings you to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. Sightseeing, visiting the Textile Museum, a traditional paper making factory and the Post office to see Bhutan's beautiful stamps which also depicts about our country’s myths, traditions etc. Alternatively you can do less formal sightseeing and walk around the town with your guide. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 02Thimpu-Taktsang-Paro Early Morning, after breakfast Roam around Thimpu City visit Different Historical places and monasteries than hike to Taktsang (Tiger's Nest) Monastery, Bhutan's most famous monastery situated at 3180 meters. Guru Rinpoche (spiritual master) is said to have flown on the back of a tigress from Singye Dzong in Lhuentse to meditate in a cave where Taktsang Monastery now stands. The monastery is perched on the edge of a steep cliff, about 900 meters above Paro Valley. After exploring the monastery, hike down/drive to the Paro valley . Over Night at Paro.

Day 03Paro-Kathmandu (Departure) Drive to airport for departure.
