“Amazing first trek!”

“Amazing first trek!”

Just finished an amazing six day trek to Poon hill and Annapurna region with our excellent guide Dhana! Saw amazing sights and we were looked after very very well! Booked with Raj at our guesthouse in Kathmandu who was also very helpful ( we had no idea what kind of trek we wanted to do). Exceeded expectations for sure! Go for it

“Reliable and affordable trekking company”

“Reliable and affordable trekking company”

We had only good experiences with Budget Adventure Treks. My Dad and I decided against a trek organised by our tour agent and went for Budget Adventures instead because of all the good reviews and the persistence of Sudip who offered us a great deal to fit what we were looking for.

We were lucky enough to have Dhana as our guide, after we requested him on seeing all of the fantastic reviews on here. Despite having just finished an EBC trek, he accompanied us on a 5-day Ghorepani Poon Hill trek and even took our bag for us. He was fantastic - a very gentle man with a great sense of humour. This was our first time trekking and we were nervous about how wed manage and he took us on a nice gentle pace with lots of breaks.

The food was great and the tea houses good. They were basic but that is what we expected and they fit the bill as far as we were concerned.

The trek itself was really good and a great introduction to trekking if you havent done much before. It was beautiful with stunning views of the Annapurnas. Definitely recommend the sunrise walk up Poon Hill - a real highlight for us. Its not easy easy though - itd help to do some walking training before you come (though not essential depending on your fitness level) and be prepared for a LOT of steps.

Fully recommended - would definitely look these guys up, and Dhana especially, on returning to Nepal (which I plan to do at some stage because now Im inspired to try EBC!!)

My only choice in Khatmandu!!

My only choice in Khatmandu!!

Khangsar Guest House and Raj Bhatta as my trekking and trip partner are only palce to stay and my best trip consultant in Khatmandu and Nepal itself... Travelling on a regular basis almost every year since 1997 I consider Raj as one of most reliable and intellient of those whom I had chance to deal with. My first time I met him in 2008 was one of my best trekking experiences in Himalayas and trip was organized by Raj. Since that Im comming 2 times a year to Nepal always having my room, internet and banana lassy at Khangsar and my porters, permits and transport from Raj.

Thank you Raj,
Hope to see you in May!!!

Dolpa with Budget Adventure Treks

Dolpa with Budget Adventure Treks

Hiking (Private walking tour) the Dolpa Circuit is an experience well never forget. It gives us an opportunity to experience life in the remote highlands. we walked through a variety of landscapes, ranging from green pastures, reminding to the European mounts, to barren rocks (dry rocks), reminding to the Tibetan plateau (tibetian highlands). The Phoksundo Lake is of an incredible beauty, with its very deep blue and deep green (emerald) colors, surrounded by steep dry rocks.

we pass some small authentic villages, inhabited by straight descendents of the Tibetans. Following buddhism in Bonpo are very important for the people living in these villages and interlacing in everyday life. As far as we know by guide Bonpo religion is the oldest spiritual trading of Tibet. It was very much related with Buddhism, but has more shamanistic and animistic influences, which gives a fabulous invocation to Dolpa.

Due to its remote location, Dolpa is still an off the beaten trek destination. Especially in spring and summer you see very few tourists and population of people we got real nature trek.

The Dolpa Circuit is a quite strenuous trekking, with some steep climbs where our itinerary was Kathmandu-Nepalganj To get to Dolpa- Nepalgunj-Juphal (2475 m)- Dunai (2140 m) to Lingdo (2391 m)Lingdo (2391 m) to LainaOdar (3370 m) -LainaOdar (3370 m) to Nawarpani (3475 m)-Nawarpani (3475 m) to Sisaul (3750 m)- Sisaul (3750 m) to DhoTarap (4080 m)- DhoTarap (3944 m) to Numala Base Camp (4440 m)- Numala Base Camp (4440 m) to Danigar (4631 m) via Numa La (Pass) (5318 m)-Danigar (4631 m) to Yak Kharka (3982 m) via Baga La (5190 m)-Yak Kharka (3982 m) to Ringmo/Phoksundo Lake (3733 m)- Ringmo/Phoksundo Lake (3733 m) to Chhepka (2838 m) via Rechi (2940 m)- Chhepka (2838 m) to Juphal (2475 m)- Juphal-Nepalgunj-Kathmandu

We highly recommend this company because of our best experience. Thank you for your best service
