This trek has been named as the Royal Trek (1700m) after the Prince Charles of the UK who sauntered through the small hills in early eighties along with 90 entourage. Mike Jagger of Rolling Stone Fame also trekked this trial after Prince Charles. The Royal trek id highly recommended for beginners. It is a litmus test for those who want to try trekking but are unsure about the physical demands. As the route does not ascend to high altitude, the climate is warmer and you will have the opportunity to stroll through the rice terraced fields and offers great opportunity to explore the village of the middle hills mingling with Gurungs known for bravery and mountain tribes.
The teail climbs gently along a ride top through Brahmin and Chhetri villages towards Kalikastan, which continuous along the forested ridge top through Thulokot to Mathi Thana reaching Shaklung. The Royal trek route climbs towards Chisopani, Winding around the back of the hill to the village where there is a temple with splendid mountain views. From there trial descend from Chisapani Danda along the ride into a small valley and a stream that feeds Rupa Tal. Walk along the rice fiels woyj a final ascent to the ride takes you to Begnas Bazar, from where you will be taken to Pokhara by car or bus. While here, the trekker can easily spend several days exoeriencing local lifestyle, handicraft production and sightseeing. Folk songs and dances are an important part of Gurung life and cultural performances are a common occurrence in the area. Though the trek is short, the memories live forever.
Day 01:Arrive in Kathmandu. Meet and transfer to the Hotel.
Day 02:Full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley
Day 03:Fly Kathmandu to Pokhara. Begin trek to Kahon Gaon
Day 04:Trek to Bahun Gaon
Day 05:Trek to Syaglung
Day 05:Trek to Begnas Lake and drive back to Pokhara
Day 06:Trek to Begnas Lake and drive back to Pokhara
Day 07:Drive back to Kathmandu
Day 08:Transfer to airport for departure
