The Upper Dolpo is the remote and hidden valley but much loved destination among the clients of Budget Adventure Treks Expeditions. This far western region is one of the Nepals tranquil and natural heavens but yet unexplored area. It is the home of herbal land, unspoiled trans-Himalayan culture, Buddhist monuments; unique human civilization at high altitude is worth a visit. Trekking around the upper Dolpo is an unforgettable journey in every visitors life.

Lower Dolpo and Phoksundo Lake TrekkingDolpo is protected by Shey-Phoksundo National Park. It lies to the north of the Dhaulagiri Range bordering the Tibetan Plateau. Here one can find a well-preserved eco-system of plants and wildlife. Dolpo is the homeland of the Spotted Leopard, Blue Sheep, wolves, and many other varieties of flora and fauna. The trekking in upper Dolpo is designed for those who are exceptionally fit and prepared to face the full challenge of the Himalayan wilderness. The view of Kanjiroba peak, Phoksumdo Lake, and the Dhauligiri massif is one of the most rewarding moments of this trek. The Oscar award nominated movie entitled Caravan was produced in the Dolpo region with the blend of lifestyle, unique culture and enchanting natural beauty of the area. Dolpo was open to the outsiders only after 1990; therefore, tourists are required to obtain special permit for the government registered company.
We begin our trekking to Dolpo from Juphal, where we reach by direct flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj and catch another place to Juphal and rest a night there. Next day, we head to Dunai and then to Ankhe, Renji and Phosundo lake(3600 m), we take rest along the lake and explore the area and we head to Mandala camp (4570 m) and then Shey Gumba, crossing the saldang pass (5010 m). Subsequently, we head to Namgung, Yanger Gumba, Musi Gaun, sime Gaun crossing Lang la pass (5002 m) and then we head to Tinja, Kheng and Charka crossing the Charka Pass and we proceed our trek to Yak Kharka, Sangdang Phedi (5110 m) crossing Sangdang pass (5490 m) and then we reach Sanda, subsequently, we proceed our trek to Phale Gaun and we finally reach at Jomson (2710 m), where we catch our airstrip to Pokhara and then we return to Kathmandu either by bus or by plane.

Day 03:Fly to Nepalgunj

Day 04:Fly to Juphal and trek to Dunai (3hrs).

Day 05:Trek to Ankhe (5:30hrs)

Day 06:Trek to Renje (6:30hrs)

Day 07:Trek to Phoksundo Lake (6:30hrs)

Day 08:Trek to Phoksundo Khola (6hrs)

Day 09:Trek to Phoksundo Bhanjyang. (6-7hrs)

Day 10:Trek to Shey Gompa (6-7hrs)

Day 11:Rest at Shey Gompa

Day 12:Trek to Namduna Gaon (6-7hrs)

Day 13:Trek to Saldang (3-4hrs)

Day 14:Trek to Yengze Gompa (4-5)

Day 15:Trek to Sibu (6-7hrs)

Day 16:Trek to Jeng-la Phedi (5-6hrs)

Day 17:Trek to Tokyu Ga0n via Jeng-la (5-6hrs)

Day 18:Trek to Tokyu Gaon via Jeng La

Day 19:Trek to Dho Tarap (4-5hrs)

Day 20:Rest Day at Dho Tarap

Day 21:Trek tp Tarap Khola

Day 22:Trek to Khaniagaon (4-5hrs)

Day 23:Trek Tarakot (4-5hrs)

Day 24:Trek to Dunai (5-6hrs)

Day 25:Trek to Jhuphal (2-3hrs)

Day 26:Fly from Jhuphal to Nepaljunj to Kathmandu

Day 27:Free day in Kathmandu

Day 28:Fly back to Home/Destination
